Type Size and Colours On Your Photo For Business Ads

So you have an online business and you want to edit your product or service photo for some advertisement. Below I share super easy tips on HOW TO DO IT YOURSELF and type your slogan or business info of your products and service. And save lots of money from hiring a designer to do it of something that you can actually do it yourself :-) Sounds interesting right. It is! Indeed!

Here is an image that we’re going to use:

For an example you sell home made bread and pastries. So you have your image/photo of your products and now you have to describe something or put some info on your image but you were thinking WHAT IS THE CORRECT TYPE COLOUR? WHAT IS THE CORRECT TYPE SIZE? This is what I’m sharing with you today.

Step 1 – Open your image in Adobe Photoshop

Step 2 – Select Type Tool from your Tools Panel on your left

Step 3 – With your Type Tool selected, change your Font Style and Choose your font in the Options Bar

Step 4 – Now its time to select your font colour. At the moment you’ll see your default colour is black

You will have to click on the colour swatch to open the Colour Picker. But instead from choosing the colour from the colour picker, I want you to Pick a Colour from your image. The idea is to get a smooth blend of colour result for your type and photo image.

To do that, with your Colour Picker still open, move your mouse cursor to your photo image which you will find it’ll switches to the temporary Eyedropper Tool. Move the Eyedropper to the colour of the image that contain the colour that you want for your text. Then, click on it.

Now you will see you colour swatch is changed to the colour you picked. Mine is as per below

Step 5 – Type your text and when your done press CTRL+ETR for Window and Command+Return for Mac.

Step 6 – If you find your text is smaller you can edit it by click the Edit Menu > choose Free Transform > and by holding to SHIFT button drag the corners handles (small squares) and start scaling your text. You also move your text to the left or right or center while the Free Transform option is on. When you are done press Enter.

Below are the results that I did earlier:
